Parallel with the real football WC (France'98), the second WEFS World Cup was held. Current champions were France. This season, we had five new countries; Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Philippines and Switzerland, while two had left us; Spain and Yugoslavia, for a total of 25 teams. After the first round, all the expected teams went to quarter finals. England surprised everyone by knocking France out on penalties, and eventually the gold medal went to U.S.A, who turned 0-1 at half time to a 3-1 win vs Sweden. This means Sweden yet have to win a game vs the Yankees!
